Mutton pepper fry
For Spicy food lovers, this would be a all time favourite. Pepper is such a healthy spice and it forms a great combination along with meat. last Sunday I did this mutton pepper fry, its a great combination with plain white rice, sambar and rasam. Here goes the recipe...
Ingredients:
Boneless meat(pre cooked ) - 500 grams
Chilly powder - 1 tbsp
pepper powder - 4 tbsp
garam masala powder - 1 tsp
ginger-garlic paste - 2 tbsp
green chillies - 2 nos
onions large - 2nos
curry leaves - 1 stalk
oil about - 4 tbsp
salt for taste
water - 1 cup
Method:
In a wok( kadai)heat oil, fry sliced onions, chilly and curry leaves. Now add chilly powder and stir fry. Add mutton and 2 tbsp of pepper powder and garam masala powder and continue to fry. Add salt, one cup of water, now cover and cook until the water is fully dried. Add remaining pepper and stir fry for about 5 min. Turn off the flame and serve hot.
Note:
Pre cooked meat is used in this recipe. That's like, pressure cook the meat before until its half done( even almost done is OK, if u prefer it to be soft). This can be used as a filling in tortilla or chapati wraps. This goes well with pulav and other rice varieties.
