Chicken lollipop

Chicken lollipops get their names as they are like lollipop. In some restaurants its called as " drums of heaven", it doesn't look like drums anyways( I guess due to the drumstick like looks). This is a chicken wing speciality. This is a fusion food(Indo-Chinese variety). For parties at home, this is a great starter idea.

Ingredients:
Chicken lollipop pieces - 10 nos
( its usually available in supermarkets)

For the marinade:
Chilly powder - 2 tbsp
ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp
soya sauce - 1 tsp

for the batter:
red food color - 1/4 tsp
all purpose flour - 3 tbsp
corn flour - 1 tsp
ajinomoto or salt for taste
water of making thick batter
oil for deep frying

Method:
Mix chilly powder, ginger-garlic paste and soya sauce and marinade the chicken wings overnight. Just before frying, make a batter out of red food color, all purpose flour(maida), corn flour and ajinomoto. Now dip the marinated chicken wings in the batter and deep fry in hot oil. Once done, serve hot along with garlic -chilly sauce.

Note: To make chicken wing pieces, take the middle part of chicken wing( it will have 2 bones). Discard one bone and retain the other along with flesh. Push the flesh to one corner making a lollipop shape. Now chicken lollipop pieces are ready.
